Once signed up, users can fully engage with your App’s functionalities. That is, add and manage their listings, chat with other users, and sell their items. Importantly, accounts created via quick sign-up are fully integrated, ensuring consistency and accessibility across both your marketplace and the mobile App.

Adding and Managing Listings

With the mobile App, users can carry your marketplace in their pockets, ready to add listings anytime, anywhere. Adding listings is quick and user-friendly; users can effortlessly enter details and upload photos and videos directly from their phone cameras. They can also manage listings added through both the App and website. The Listing Details page displays view counts and contact requests, providing more stats.

Thanks to the App’s direct connection to your marketplace database, listings added via the mobile app immediately appear on your marketplace, ensuring seamless integration and real-time updates.

Search on Map

Considering the versatility of our built-in Search on Map module, it's a valuable addition to the mobile App as well. This feature, essential for all our current scripts, enables users to locate listings directly on a map. After browsing through listings within a specific category, users can simply tap the marker icon at the top of the screen to switch to a map view of those listings.

We provide free JS Interactive Maps, which you can set up from the admin panel. This Maps module allows extensive customization options including default zoom levels, starting location, tile provider choices, and more.

Messaging and Notifications

The App features a built-in messaging module that enables users to communicate with each other in a chat-like interface. When a user receives a new message, the mobile App immediately sends a Firebase-powered push notification, ensuring that no message goes unnoticed. Push notifications are also sent for alerts related to user-specific criteria, such as when new listings matching their search appear on your marketplace.

With push notifications, users will always be informed of new messages and new listings matching their criteria. This connection increases user engagement and keeps them up to date without having to constantly check their Apps.

Filters

Tucked away behind a small icon at the top of the screen, the Filter module in your mobile App is a robust tool for filtering through numerous listings. This module mirrors the capabilities of the web-based Filter plugin, allowing configuration directly from your site’s admin panel. Once set up, it synchronizes seamlessly across both your marketplace and mobile App.

You can customize the Filter for different categories with fields tailored to each, ensuring a refined search experience. If the Filter plugin is not yet configured, the App offers a quick search form as an effective alternative.

Monetization and Gateways

In addition to fully-fledged monetization in our web-based marketplace script, we also offer monetization in our mobile Apps. With the available monetization tools, you can collect payments for listing packages, enabling users to add listings to paid categories effortlessly. Additionally, users can purchase new packages and extend those that have expired, directly through the App.

Currently, we offer PayPal as a pre-integrated payment gateway. We're working actively to add more payment gateways but if you have an urgent integration request we're ready to consider it on a custom basis.

Do you offer native mobile Apps?

We offer native mobile Apps developed in the Flutter framework for both iOS and Android devices. Flutter allows us to create high-performance apps that feel native on each platform, providing an optimal user experience tailored to the specific OS characteristics and user expectations.

Will mobile Apps have the Flynax logo?

When you purchase an App from us, you get a privately labeled application customized with your logo and directly connected to your domain for seamless user access. Our Apps come without Flynax branding, ensuring they are completely dedicated to your site. The purchase includes customization of the App’s color scheme to match your branding.

How to request an App?

To request our iOS and Android Apps, log into the Customer Area and complete the app request form, providing all necessary details. If you are ordering both apps, you will receive separate invoices for each. Once payment has been received, our App developers will contact you via email to proceed with App compilation.
 
If you already purchased the Apps when buying the software, simply log in and submit the required data for App compilation, bypassing the payment step.

Do mobile Apps offer the functionality of the software?

Our mobile Apps are streamlined versions of our marketplace and classifieds scripts, designed to provide users with the most essential functionality. The Apps allow users to view listings pulled from the site database via special plugins, and offer capabilities to post and edit ads directly from Apple and Android devices. Users can also filter, search for ads, chat, purchase listing packages, add alerts, and receive push notifications for new messages.
 
Currently, the Apps come with one built-in payment gateway - PayPal. We can add a custom payment gateway for an additional fee provided it is compatible with mobile interfaces.
 
Additionally, the Apps support multiple languages, offering the same range of options as the software.

What do I need to publish my Android App?

Create a Google Play Developer Account. Start by creating a Google Play Developer account. During the final step, you will be required to pay a one-time registration fee of $25 USD using a credit or debit card.
 
Purchase and Request an App. Once your Developer account is set up, purchase an App from Flynax and submit a request from the Customer Area. For detailed instructions on requesting an App, please refer to the relevant section above.
 
Prepare Your App Description. While the Flynax Team is compiling your App, prepare a compelling description that will be displayed on the App’s page on Google Play. This description should effectively communicate the features and benefits of your App to potential users.

NOTE: If you prefer not to publish your App on Google Play, you can opt to distribute the Android App package (APK) file directly through your website. This allows your users to download and install the App manually on their Android devices. Simply host the APK file on your site, providing users with instructions for downloading and installing it safely.

What do I need to publish my iOS App?

Create an Apple Developer Program Account. Begin by registering for an Apple Developer Program account. During the final step, you will be required to pay an annual fee of $99 USD, which can be settled using a credit or debit card.
 
Purchase and Request an App. Once your Developer account is active, purchase an App and submit a request to Flynax from the Customer Area. For detailed instructions on requesting an App, please refer to the relevant section above.
 
Prepare Your App Description. While the Flynax Team is compiling your App, prepare a detailed description that will be displayed on your App’s page on the App Store. This description should highlight the key features and benefits of your App.

How to connect mobile Apps to a trial site

To connect the mobile App to your trial site, follow these steps:
 
1. Open your Android smartphone;
2. Open the Chrome browser on your smartphone;
3. Visit flynax.com, click the "Products" tab from the menu, and select "Android Application";
4. Scroll down to the App icon (a black icon below the intro section that says "Google Play");
5. Click it to install Flydroid (you'll be taken to the Google PlayStore);
6. After installing Flydroid, start the App;
7. Enter the URL of your trial site in the field, for example: trials.flynax.com/gy760.
 
For iOS users, you can follow a similar process, but make sure to open the iOS App link from the menu.
 

NOTE: Your users won't have to enter your domain every time they try to start the App because the mobile Apps will be compiled specifically for your domain.

What language are your mobile Apps written in?

Our mobile Apps are developed in Flutter, Google’s modern framework for building high-performance, cross-platform mobile applications from a single codebase. Flutter uses the Dart programming language, which is known for its ease of use and efficiency.

Can I run the mobile App without a site?

The mobile App cannot function without an online website. The site serves as the primary data storage resource, as the App relies on loading data directly from the site's database. Additionally, certain App functionalities and plugins require configuration from the site's admin panel to ensure data synchronization.

As a less expensive alternative to our native mobile Apps, we suggest looking at our Progressive Web Application. The PWA is a web wrapping for our software that imitates mobile Apps and offers a number of advantages over mobile Apps.


With the PWA you may use all the plugins available for the desktop solution. You don't need to purchase subscriptions to Apple and Google developer accounts. Your users will be able to install the PWA with one click, which will add an icon to their smartphones too.
