Android Connect

Android Connect is a required add-on for FlyDroid Application serving as a bridge (API) between your site and the App. The Plugin processes requests from the App and returns appropriate data from the server. When the App is launched on a user’s device the Plugin processes requests for different types of loaded data; that is for getting configurations, phrases and listing type data. It also processes requests for featured listings on the main page, list of categories, search forms and user search queries and others.

Back End

Once the Plugin is installed a new section called Android App is added to the main menu in back end. The manager in back end offers all necessary settings to set up the Application; let us go over them and find out how you could set up and tailor the Plugin to your preferences.

Languages

The Plugin offers a separate language manager as the App has its own set of phrases. Similar to the Software Language Manager it allows you to edit phrases right in the grid. The manager is also equipped with a convenient search function if you want to find and edit a particular phrase. With the manager you may easily translate the App into another language by copying phrases from any available language (English by default) and translating them. The manager supports exporting and importing phrases in XML format.

Common Settings

From the Common Settings you may set up the Plugin in various ways. To start with, you may enable or disable listing counter in the main menu, select a primary listing type based on your site concept, set up in-App billing, set a number of listings per page, map zoom, preload method and manage a multitude of other settings.

Listing Types Settings

With the help of this manager you can set the order of listing types in the menu, select the main type, enable or disable a particular type in the App. You can also upload an icon image that will give a better visual representation of the given listing type.

Google AdMob

The manager allows you to display mobile ads on users’ devices, which serves as an extension to our software monetization options. You can choose to display the ads either on all pages of the App or only on particular ones. The ads may be placed either on top or bottom of the mobile device screen.
