How it works

After installation, the plugin adds a manager in admin panel from where you can add words, which you think are inacceptable for your website. The profanity filter works on all pages of your site, on which users can add textual information. The Plugin will check textual information before sending it to the server and if a bad word is detected, a user will be notified that his ad/comment/message cannot be added to the site unless an offensive word is removed.

Front End

Once the plugin is installed, your front end will not change in any way and users will be able to browse your website just as they used to. Provided that your users do not resort to the foul language, they will never be confronted with the plugin. The bad word filter will only reveal itself to users who attempt to add bad words to description of ads, comments etc.

Below you can see the ways in which you can make use of the bad word filter plugin:

• Users posting ads with inappropriate content and offensive language;
• Users editing ads attempting to add inappropriate content to them;
• Attempts to register using bad language;
• Users leaving inappropriate comments in posted ads;

Back End

After installing the plugin, you will find a convenient manager in back end, which is added to the "Languages" setting. From there you will be able to add/manage a list of bad words in any language active on your site. The plugin adds a new column ‘manage bad words’ next to every language active on your site. Clicking it, will take you to the bad word manager, from where you can add bad words by typing them in.

You can also import a list of bad words in a txt or csv file. Added to the Plugin, we are offering you 20 foul language databases, which you can import from back end to save time.
